A vintage pair of drop earrings. Based on a Victorian original these earrings were produced in that style in the mid 1970s.

So fifty years old in their making, each is set with a deep purple amethyst stone, 10x8mm, claw set.  Mounted in a 9 carat gold setting, fancy openwork at the top, a rope border around the edge. Suspends from a short chain.

Total length 27mm, weight each 2 grams. Hallmarks for 1975. Post and scroll fittings.

Cleaned in our ultrasonic machine.
