A pretty Sapphire and Diamond ring
A Vintage Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring (c. 1920–1930)
A beautifully crafted early 20th-century cluster ring featuring five step-cut sapphires of mid-blue colour, each approximately 2.4mm in diameter, set in a linear formation across the centre (total width approx. 13mm).
Encircling the sapphires is a scalloped border of eighteen old brilliant-cut white diamonds, each about 1.8mm, giving an estimated total diamond weight just under 0.50 carats. The diamonds are assessed as colour I–K and clarity Si–P1.
The ring head measures 17 x 8.6mm and is crafted in platinum, confirmed by metal testing. The band, stamped 18CTand testing as 18-carat yellow gold, is typical of the two-tone craftsmanship of the era.
No assay marks are present, consistent with pieces made in the 1920–1930 period.
