An opal and demantoid garnet bar brooch

A Victorian bar brooch with a central cluster of a diamond centre stone, 2.5mm, surrounded by six white opals 3mm each, with excellent play of colour. 

Also set with six 1.5mm demantoid garnets, overall cluster size 10.5mm. The bar width is 50mm, also set with a 3mm opal to each side. Stamped 15CT, and tests as 15 carat gold. Weight 3.3grams. 

Hallmarks were not legally required for this period.
