A vintage Sapphire and Diamond ring

A  vintage gem-set ring from the 1970s, featuring an oval-cut sapphire of approximately 7 x 6mm, secured in elegant corner claw settings. The sapphire displays a deep inky black-blue hue, typical of fine stones from this period.

Each shoulder is set with three tapered baguette-cut white diamonds — two measuring approximately 3.5 x 2.4mmand one at 3.5 x 2.4mm — with a combined estimated weight of 0.60 carats, graded approximately colour I–J, clarity SI.

The ring head measures 15 x 7.5mm with a depth of 5mm and a total weight of 2.6 grams. The band is stamped 18K and tests as 18-carat white gold, consistent with manufacture of the period (no hallmark required).
