❤︎ A Victorian five stone diamond ring
An elegant Victorian five-stone ring set with old mine cut white diamonds, dating to the late 19th century (circa 1890–1900).
The ring features a 4mm centre diamond (approximately 0.25 carats), flanked by two 3.7mm diamonds (approximately 0.20 carats each), with a further 0.10 carat diamond at each end. Total estimated diamond weight is approximately 0.85 carats.
The diamonds are assessed as G–I colour with SI clarity, displaying the character and charm typical of old mine cuts.
The hand-carved, boat-shaped head measures 18 x 4.9mm with a depth of 4mm, showcasing fine period craftsmanship. The ring weighs 3.6 grams and tests as 18ct gold. As was common for the period, there are no hallmarks, as hallmarking was not a legal requirement at the time.
Presented in very good overall condition for its age.
Ring size N ½. Resizing can be carried out easily if required.
