A vintage Sapphire and Diamond ring

A beautiful vintage cluster ring featuring an oval mid-blue sapphire (approx. 7 × 5 mm), securely claw-set at the centre. Surrounded by a halo of twelve old brilliant-cut white diamonds (approx. 2 mm each, total estimated diamond weight ~0.35 ct), the piece is classically  elegant.

The head of the ring tests as platinum and measures approx. 13.5 × 10.7 mm, with a depth of 5 mm. The band tests as 18-carat yellow gold and is stamped 18CT PLAT, consistent with its era. No hallmark present, as typical for jewellery pieces from the 1930s–1940s.

A fine antique ring with wonderful finger presence — truly charming and full of character.
