An unusual pair of gold cufflinks
A pair of 9 carat gold cufflinks. Each an openwork Claddagh design 19x15mm. The reverse a plain oval link, 20x10mm, weight each 2.7grams. UK hallmarks for 1950.
The Claddagh symbol (Irish: fáinne Chladaigh) is a traditional Irish design that represents Love, Loyalty and Friendship – the heart represents Love, the crown represents Loyalty, and the hands represent Friendship.
