A vintage five stone diamond ring

An impressive early 20th-century ring set with five old brilliant-cut white diamonds. The central diamond measures 5.5mm (approx. 0.63ct), flanked by two 5mm diamonds (approx. 0.50ct each), with two further diamonds at each end measuring 4.4mm. Total diamond weight is estimated at 2.05 carats.

The diamonds are assessed as colour H–K and clarity SI, all claw-set in platinum. The head measures 22.5 × 5.5mm with a depth of 4.5mm. Total weight is 3.1 grams.

The under-setting and band test as 18ct yellow gold. No hallmarks are present, which is consistent with jewellery from this period.
