A Victorian Opal and Diamond ring
A fine Victorian opal and diamond dress ring, beautifully characteristic of the period.
The ring features three superb graduated oval opals, the central stone measuring 6.7 x 5.7mm and the two outer opals each approximately 6 x 4.6mm. All three display an attractive white ground with excellent play of colour, revealing flashes of rainbow hues as the ring catches the light.
Two tiny rose-cut diamonds are set either side of the central opal, adding a subtle sparkle and providing the perfect complement to the colourful opals.
The traditional boat-shaped head measures 16 x 8mm with a depth of 4.6mm. Weight 5 grams.
Crafted in 18 carat gold and bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1897.
Finger size O½. We can resize this ring free of charge.
