A fine Art Deco Emerald and Diamond ring

A fine Art Deco emerald and diamond cluster ring, beautifully proportioned and displaying all the elegance associated with the period.

At its centre is a square-cut emerald measuring approximately 7 x 7mm (estimated 1.50 carats), displaying an attractive mid-green hue and good clarity, with no clear evidence of heat treatment.

The emerald is framed by a sparkling halo of sixteen old brilliant-cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 2.3mm, with an estimated combined diamond weight of 0.60 carats. The diamonds are assessed as approximately I–K colour and P1 clarity, their characterful old cuts complementing the Art Deco design beautifully.

The cluster is set in platinum, with the head measuring approximately 12 x 12mm and 5mm in depth. The band tests as 18 carat gold, a classic combination for jewellery of this period.

Weight: 2.8 grams.

There are no hallmarks, which is entirely consistent with a ring of this age.
