A vintage Sapphire and Diamond cluster ring

A beautiful mid-century cluster ring featuring a round dark blue sapphire measuring approximately 5mm (estimated 0.50ct). The sapphire is surrounded by a halo of eight old brilliant-cut white diamonds, each approximately 2mm, graded I–J colour and SI clarity.
The cluster head measures 9mm across with a depth of 4.7mm, and tests as platinum.

The band is stamped 18CT PT, confirming an 18-carat gold shank with platinum shoulders, each set with small accent diamonds. Total estimated diamond weight: 0.30ct.
Estimated manufacture period: 1950–1960 (no additional hallmarks required for this era).
