A vintage Solitaire Diamond ring

This elegant vintage solitaire features an old brilliant-cut white diamond measuring approximately 5mm, estimated at 0.50ct, with a lovely I–J colour and VS–SI clarity. The diamond is illusion-set in platinum, giving the head a larger, more brilliant appearance. The setting measures 7mm across and 5mm in depth, with a total ring weight of 3.1g.

The shoulders test as platinum and are each set with three small accent diamonds, adding subtle sparkle and enhancing the central stone. The band is stamped 18CT and tests as 18-carat yellow gold, creating a charming two-tone effect typical of early 20th-century craftsmanship.

Dating from the early to mid-20th century, this is a beautifully preserved example of period jewellery. A hallmark was not legally required at the time of manufacture.
