A fine Emerald and Diamond cluster ring
💚 An Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1950–1960
An exceptional vintage cluster ring featuring at its centre a rectangular step-cut emerald measuring approximately 8.5 x 7.0 mm, estimated at 1.5 carats. The emerald displays a fine, deep grass-green colour with good transparency to the naked eye. Under magnification, natural inclusions typical of emeralds are visible.
Surrounding the emerald is a border of eighteen brilliant-cut white diamonds, each approximately 2.0 mm in diameter, with a total estimated diamond weight of 0.50 carats. The diamonds are assessed as colour I–K, clarity P1, and add a lively brilliance to the central stone.
The stones are set in platinum (tested) with the head measuring 12.3 x 11.2 mm and a depth of 6 mm. The ring has a total weight of 4.6 grams. The under-setting and shank test as 18-carat yellow gold, unhallmarked, consistent with manufacture in the 1950–1960 period ( no hallmarks legally required)
Ring size: P (resizing available free of charge)
Condition: Excellent overall. Stones all secure; the emerald shows a minute surface nick visible only under magnification.
