A fine Solitaire Diamond Ring

A very special vintage solitaire ring. The brilliant cut diamond has a diameter of 5.7mm (est 0.70 carats). Colour I-k, clarity Si. Retained by four claws (testing as platinum)

Each side the diamond is complimented by a pair of tapered baguette diamonds, each 3x1mm (0.05 carats) colour white i-j, clarity Si. Total carat weight in this ring we estimate at .90 carats. The head measures 13x57mm, depth 4.7mm. Ring weight 2.5grams.

The band is stamped 18CT, tests as white gold. There are no hallmarks, as the ring has been manufactured before 1973, we estimate 1950-1960. 

Size L 1/2. We can resize free of charge. Condition- The band has very little wear, claws are good and tight, principal diamond is good but there are two tiny nicks around the edge of the stone.

The ring has been priced as a customer commission sale and is probably around £700-£800 under what a ring would usually retail for.

 For those who love the idea of recycling or upcycling, the vintage ring cannot be matched as there is no carbon footprint unlike laboratory grown diamonds that have some implications and cannot be totally carbon neutral.
