A lovely cluster ring containing an oval opal centre stone. The opal measures 11x7.5mm, and is dark in colour with a large play of colour, ranging from peacock blue, luminous green and flashes of fireglow orange. 

The opal will be classed as a doublet, hence the slightly lower price. A doublet is a slice of opal placed atop a black ground, usually ironstone. Opal doublets are generally set onto strong Ironstone backing which is a brown/black in colour. The thin slice of Opal is enhanced by the Ironstone and greatly increases the colour of the Opal. A slice of Opal in a doublet is a lot thicker than a Opal Triplet.

The opal is beautifully enhanced by a border of brilliant cut white diamonds, each 2mm diameter, colour G-i, clarity Si. Total estimated at just under half a carat. Head measures 16x13mm, depth 6.5mm, weight 3.9grams.
