A three stone diamond trilogy ring

A vintage three stone ring containing old brilliant cut white diamonds. Centre stone 5.3mm (0.55 carats) each side a 4.2mm diamond (0.30 carats) estimated total of 1.15 carats. Colour G-i, clarity VS3-Si1.

The head is claw set, tests as platinum, 14.5x5.7mm, depth 4.6mm, weight 3.1grams. Each shoulder is set with three small rose cut diamonds 1.2mm each, arrow head shape. Shank stamped PLAT 18CT. Tests as 18 carat yellow gold. 

Period assumed 1920-1930, no hallmarks required for this period. Size Q, we can resize free of charge

The three stones in a trilogy ring each have their own symbolic meaning. The centre stone is usually the largest and represents the present, while the two smaller stones on either side represent the past and the future.

The past stone is often associated with the memories and experiences that have brought the couple to where they are now. Together, the three stones symbolise the love, loyalty, and commitment that are at the heart of any successful relationship.

Trilogy rings are also thought to have spiritual significance, with some believing that the three stones represent the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Others believe that the three stones represent the mind, body, and spirit of the wearer.
