A 9 carat gold double watch Albert chain. Consists of ten 'trombone' shaped links, each 27x5mm, and divided by rope knot links. 

Original swivel and T bar.  Length 19.5", weight 40.6grams. Hallmarks for London 1997.

Not an antique, but a faithful reproduction of how these would have been produced in the early part of the same century. Originally designed to carry the weight of a large pocket watch these chains have been more popular in later years to be worn as a distinctive necklace, but of course if one wishes to use for its original function this chain has no wear at all and would be perfect to add a pocket watch.
