An antique ruby and diamond ring
A fine period ring, estimated 1895-1910. The principal centre stone, a deep red ruby, 5.5mm (0.55 carats) each end a matching ruby 4.5mm (0.35 carats). The diamonds are old brilliant cut, 4mm (0.25 carats) estimated colour H-i, clarity Si.
Within the head are also eight tiny rose cut diamonds. Boat shape 20mm width, height 5mm, depth 4mm, weight 3.4grams. Hand carved. There are no hallmarks, as not legally required. Tests as 18 carat gold. Purchased through our London antique jewellery agents, provenance guaranteed. Condition - very good.
