A vintage sapphire and diamond cluster ring

A vintage cluster ring containing a 5.5mm sapphire centre stone, 0.60 carats, colour mid to dark blue. Surrounded by nine old brilliant cut white diamonds, total estimated carat weight of 0.60 carats. Colour H-i, clarity Si-P1.

Head 10.5mm diameter, depth 6.5mm, weight 3.2grams. Head all yellow gold as is the shank, the shoulders are openwork divided. Tests as 18 carat gold, no hallmark as pre 1973 legal requirement. Period c1930-1940
