A single opal dress ring

An oval white opal with a good play of colour which blends luminous green, to blue, to purple. 14.6x9mm, depth 6.3mm, weight 2.4grams. 

The shoulders divide to a gold shank, stamped 9CT and tests as 9 carat gold. No hallmark as period assumed 1920-1930, a hallmark was not legally required. Claw set. The opal is in good condition, under an eyeglass a fissure or two can be viewed, these are internal and not cracks.
