A pretty early Victorian pearl and emerald dress ring
An early Victorian dress ring (circa 1840) containing six grey natural pearls 2.6mm each, and in the centre a tiny 1.3mm emerald.
Head 9mm, depth 4mm, weight 1.9grams. The shoulders divide and are hand engraved . Stemming from the early Victorian period of romanticism and the love for all things floral. This cluster has a daisy design typical of the period. There are no marks to show the carat, but it tests as 15 carat. The reverse has a small glazed area, suitable for a lock of hair.
