A fine Victorian multi cluster diamond ring
SKU: P22486
A fine Victorian cluster ring set with old cut white diamonds. Centre stone 5mm, each side a 3mm diamond, colour G-h, clarity VS-Si. These three total approximately 0.70 carats.
The centre stones are surrounded by eighteen small rose cut diamonds, each side of the centre stone a further two small diamonds, these total in all approximately 0.33 carats. Total estimated for the entire ring, 1.03 carats. The head measures 16x8.6mm, depth 4mm. These are all set into silver which was very much the medium for Victorian gem rings, especially from around 1850-1890 before the advent of platinum in the early 1900s. The stones are well set.
The shank tests as 18 carat yellow gold as does the under setting. However no hallmark as was not a legal requirement at the time. Weight 3.3grams. A wonderful ring for the discerning buyer, such a classic and elegant design.
