A fine orange sapphire and diamond cluster ring

A fine cluster ring containing an orange/yellow sapphire centre stone 9x7.4mm (estimated at 2 carats) with good clarity. Surrounded by twelve x 0.10 carat brilliant cut white diamonds to an estimated weight of 1.2 carats. Colour G-i, clarity Si.

The head measures 15.5x13.3mm, depth just 5mm. Each shoulder is also set with three small white diamonds, arrow head shaped, white gold. Weight 5 grams. Shank is yellow gold, stamped 18CT, period 1950-1960, a hallmark not legally required. Yellow gold under setting. A fine ring in exceptional condition the orange sapphire like a drop of golden sunshine!
