A fine Edwardian emerald and diamond cluster ring
A beautiful Edwardian cluster ring containing a rectangular emerald 11x7mm. Colour is rich and a grass green with good clarity with a few natural curtain inclusions. This is surrounded by a double circlet of rose cut diamonds, one x twenty four, outer x thirty diamonds, 0.025 carat each, total approximately 1.3carats.
The head is all platinum 18x14mm, with a very slender depth of 4.5mm, weight 4.8grams. The under setting and shank test as 18 carat yellow gold. No hallmarks, which were not legally required. A truly exceptional gem ring and so typical of the late Edwardian early Art Deco period.
