A fine Art Deco aquamarine pendant

SKU: P3394C

£2,200
A fine pendant containing a large rectangular aquamarine 22x16mm, step cut, depth 7.5mm ( approximately 15 carats) held with claws and an open work surround typical of the Art Deco period.

The reverse is stamped 585 and tests as 14 carat gold. Overall size 35x27mm. Attached to a curb link neck chain, just over 16" length with a barrel styler clasp, total weight 12.6grams. Purchased with a green leatherette box believed to have been sold with the pendant and is named Keyser- Leipzig. The pendant is believed to be German. Court jeweller in Germany was Leonard Treusch designed many pieces for this Leipzig Jewellery company. We cannot be sure it can be assigned as a piece by Treusch but there are strong influence in design that may attribute such a piece to him.
