A vintage diamond solitaire ring

A single stone solitaire ring containing a brilliant cut white diamond. Estimated at half a carat, colour G-h, clarity Si. The  head and claws test as platinum, head 5.6mm diameter, depth 5.8mm.

The shank tests as 18 carat yellow gold and is stamped 18CT PLAT. No hallmark as not legally required as the period estimated at 1950-1960.  Weight 2.1grams. Very traditional style of engagement ring that simply never goes out of fashion!
